So This game comes out the 21st of March. Who here is excited as I am about it? I've played the series since the first one came out in 2007. It wasn't all that popular at the time either, but I was massively in love with it. The series didn't get popular till Mass Effect 2. (also was the best one too). The 3rd one was amazing till the end of it. Then it was just disappointing. All those days worth of hours put into multiple Shepards, Male and female, Paragon and Renegade, for the same ending just different colors. smh. :/

Well, lets hear it!

Never played them but my cousin cites the second as his favourite game. The guy I sat next to in work this week has booked two days off for the ten hour preview next week.

I was actually gonna do something similar for work, but found out that it comes out on the day I have to leave state for a 2 day school and 2 days for drive time. On top of that I have another class the next week that is another 2 day class and 2 day drive. Thus, I won't get to play it for an additional 2 weeks.

I got into it on the second game as well, thought it was a great title and I agree that #3 is great up until its ending. I wasn't that pissed, but I could see why lots of other people would be pissed, and I was very disappointed they didn't end up going with the "Indoctrination Theory".

Personally, I'm not all the interested in ME:A. What I have heard coming out of their writing department by one of their leads hasn't been promising just in terms of general behaviour, leading me to think the writing probably won't be any better at best, even worse being the more likely scenario.

And in terms of other odd design choices, these people intentionally made the default female protagonist ugly in order to try to: (paraphrasing) "draw in more women gamers who are turned off by playing as unreachably beautiful characters". Meanwhile FemShep design was made by the community, and lots of people liked her WAY better than MaleShep in many cases, and she even featured in some of the promotional content of the game for ME:3.You'd never see this potato-head character be on the poster with any marketing team who's competent at their jobs saying it would genuinely draw in more people than by giving them a more aesthetically pleasing design, its silly.

Other than that, I've heard the first couple hours are boring busy-work (meaning they haven't learned much from some of the critiques of Dragon Age: Inquisition), the narrative isn't anywhere near as compelling as that of the original Mass Effect trilogy's, and a lot of the voice acting is garbage.

So . . . yeah, I'm not anxious to rush out and buy it. I have tons of games on back-log anyway. Nier: Automata has my attention right now.

Well its out. I've only managed to play for a handful of hours since i was at a school. With what I have seen though, its great. Graphics are beautiful and the simple fact that you are in a completely different universe unexplored by Milky Way species. I like the combat for the most part. I don't like some of the controls though (Xbox Juan) The main one being the scanning tool. I keep finding myself hitting the left on the D pad to try and bring up the scanner. That is just a personal preference though. Can't judge too much on it though being only a couple hours into it. I'll post more on it later

After a few more hours into the game, here are some pos/neg thoughts:

Positive: Graphics look amazing, great combat system, wonderful story telling. Lots of replaying value.

Negative: facial animations are off and goofy often. Multiplayer matches tend to crash the game often. I'll be on the 4th or 5th round and the game will crash in the middle of the round.

Also, an update comes out today (4-6-17) to address  some of these issues. Hopefully the crashing will be fixed. Tired of wasting my boosts for the game to crash near the end of the match.

More to come!
