I actually think that both sides of this are right. I did want to be the one who said something about it and to go out on a limb for these players. I am totally open to being corrected if I am wrong in my observations and I have respect for the players and administrators involved all round. I hope my saying this doesn't change that. My understanding is that a map change came on for a full server and TC ended up on one team or mostly on one team and a complaint was lodged and that they were ignoring admins or disrespecting admins. They were then bumped for a week. Whether it stays a week or not, I want to go on record saying that: 1) It was a Saturday Night full server. 2) During the Friday night server, I had to split up some members of TC but they were incredibly aware of the team stacking concerns of the admins. 3) It took a few minutes to free up and move to spectate but they not only complied, they didn't try and stack the next several maps. 4) It looks to me like they had split even on Argentan right before the kick/ban. I do understand the hard line with team killing, disrespect and racism/derogatory users and players. I get blurry when it comes to other unspoken rules. I don't think [tc] was attempting to gain any kind of advantage and I think they were trying to comply with the admin requests even if slowly. Pez and Flask have been particularly respectful to this over the last several weeks. The [tc] folks do play at the popular server times and are sometimes in groups, but they also help to fill the very strange, lackadaisical server times at odd American times in the middle of the eastern standard zone "night" and they are active. I don't think that is something that should be lost. Not saying it overrides breaking rules, but we have players from all over the world at all times of day and night. I also would not fault you if you kept the ban in the event I am missing some part of a larger picture and I don't question Turner's decision to protect the integrity of the administration of the sub. He does it well and he does it quickly and repeatedly. I am aware that there are obvious choices as an admin and there are difficult choices as an admin and I think he and the others who were in and out do a better-than-most-all-other-servers job. My personal experience with the team stacking events past the first kick/ban were nothing but positive. I hate team stacking because of what it does to kill the server for potential recruits, regular pubbers and MRB dedicated. I have voiced that here and in-game before because I want the community to flourish. I also respect that there is ire to be had with players who take advantage to dominate one side or the other and if that is the case here, then I stand corrected. My experience the night before with Flask, Pez, Basilone & York was not one of any sort of one-upmanship or disrespect. I did get a number of instant messages here regarding the issue on Saturday and I decided to voice myself here to support both Turner, because of his dedication and his willingness to make the call on behalf of members and to be around when I text him at 4 in the morning to deal with problems on an unexpectedly full server for a Tuesday but also to say that, unless I am missing something, [tc] pez & flask are trying to go above and beyond to not stand out as troublemakers or problem-children and are just here to pub and play as friends. They have not gone in the direction of "hiding" like we have experienced in the past with small packs of voracious high-end shooters or name-changing. They can have frustratingly good maps and rounds and I appreciate playing with them for the most part. In conclusion, I don't want to seem like I am coming down on one-side or the other or that anyone made a bad call that should result in an "un-ban" or "reduction" but I do want to question if it was a decision made under fire that could be looked back on with some measure of investigation for confirmation that it was of the right length, time and reason. Thanks for letting me air this. Hopefully I am not entirely out of line in doing so. Feel free to kick me out of the pub next time you see me if so. The Batman 2
