To the new Rec. and Pvt.

There are 12 new players who have entered the unit in the last 3 weeks. It is a high number, and it is very good news for the 1st MRB. 

 

I have received some messages by Steam and DM these days "this is not for me", "I can't stand just using the rifle", "I'm bad with this gun", "I'm not playing well", or "I don't want to play".

 

I understand those messages, I went through the exact same process after my enlistment. When I start, I was only playing with support. I did not know how to use any other weapon and suffered in the public with the rifle. It was even difficult for me to have a positive score to be able to request a PTU. Wilson can attest to this. When I tell that I understand you, it really is. 

 

What I want to tell you is that this is simply a learning curve. The first 5 or 6 sessions will really suck. Especially if the rifle is not your thing. After that one begins to improve and have better scores and become stronger and stronger. Know better the angles, use the sight, and know where the enemies come from.

 

This is only part of the Unit. The rest, and I really advise you, is to take a job on the forum. There are many alternatives and each one has a different challenge. This serves to have responsibilities and become part of the Unit.

 

There are also the fireteam training sessions, the only thing they are looking for is to make you a better player, in the multiple challenges that the game has. This in the end also serves to be a better player in realism, also in the pub. 

 

In addition to that the MOS Rifle was opened, we are playing weekly Unit and Open realism, also on the servers of the other units.

 

The message I want to deliver to you is that playing on the public server is a part of this whole process and that having a bad score or hating a specific weapon is temporary, it is a matter of time and nothing more.

 

The reward will be your promotions, be better players, learn discipline and know very good friends.

Won't even lie, for me it started with (ironically by my info on here) hating the M1 Grand over the Kar98. It was to the point I would try as much as possible to join Wehrmacht because I hated having to deal with the recoil and only-empty-mag reload mechanic of the M1. But once I understood how to use it a little better, it's become my favorite. More importantly, I'm enjoying both sides. Just getting used to the weapons you already have available to you is a goal to hit first. Now I'm just working on how to use the machinepistol to beat the M1 Carbine, and vice versa.

I've never been really good with any weapon so good so start learning from ground up is perfect for me.

Wish I could so a rifle MOS but I can't take it due to the time zone...

I remember when I first joined back in 2015, I was extremely bad with both the Kar 98k and the M1 Garand, but the fireteam practices, and multiple realisms really helped me out with getting used to both weapons and improving on them.
