PC issues

Hey Raiders,

I’m currently troubleshooting why my PC won’t fire up.  I’ll dig into it part by part after thanksgiving.  Hope y’all enjoy your turkey day, I’ll catch up with y’all when I resolve this issue.

I believe I narrowed it down to my processor.  Mobo, ram, power supply are all good.  Pulled the processor and reseated it, no joy.  I’ll be ordering a new one this week.

What's the processor doing, or not doing?

Ram lights up, Mobo lights up.  no response from the processor, not getting a post.  Connected my monitor to onboard hdmi and still no joy so it’s not the gfx card. I noticed my water pump went out, so while my pc was on for a couple days I could of overheated the processor and fried it.  My computer room door stays shut while I’m away so my dog doesn’t get hair all over in there, and that room gets hot.

are you sure it‘s not the mobo? usually it‘s the first to go. comp should shut down automatically with overheating

It was off after getting back home after 3 days away.  I’m going to try jumping the Mobo tonight.  New processor is on the way

New MOBO installed, does the same exact thing, Mobo and ram light up….no post. Waiting for the new processor to arrive.
