i played for an hour or so this evening and it seemed just like any other night the last few nights. choppy and lots of rubber banding.

Posted (edited)

I have been playing for a few hours since Major reinstalled everything and I haven't noticed the lag problems from before. Boutton has also confirmed that he hasn't seen the lag either. I will keep watching for any problems and report if I find anything but for now all seems well.

I just figured I would let you all know that today our pub has died a couple times.

I know, I know, you hear about it enough, but I figured I should alert you guys just in case.

I played for a bit in the early AM (around 8:30-9:30), and there were a few big burps of lag felt server wide (everyone would freeze in place for around 2-3 seconds) then be fine (not rubber-banding, but stopping in place). We had around 8-9 people at that point and the pub was gaining some steam, then I got the 'connection interrupted' error and was frozen and I figured it was the server restarting or something - there had been some pretty bad hiccups of lag prior to that, so I didn't think much of it. I left for around 3 minutes, came back and all was good once more, but the pub was empty for a considerable time.

Then Elf and I played for a bit, and a couple more joined in, so I took off (there were random burps of lag here and there, but fairly rare, and not consistent).

I just joined up around 11:35 or so (CST), and there were around 4-6 people in the pub (St.Denis included) - we were goofing on Donner, then there were some burps of lag again - one that lasted upwards of 8-10 seconds (showing the 'connection interrupted' error). That burp caused St.Denis' game to crash as well as another person to get booted due to timeout.

The game resumed normal play for about another 3-5 minutes, then the server went down entirely again.

*EDIT: Went back in the servers around 12pm - there were a few big spikes of lag again with the 'connection interrupted' error and the countdown timer - everyone was affected.

The server keeps crashing. It crashed again at 2:20 PM EST.

I did this when I was at 400 ms in the server and I had the best ping of anyone on the server.

Everyone seems to have a ping in the 500-800 range in the pub right now. Help us Obi-Wan Kenobi you're our only hope.

Server been lagging all day from what I heard talking to people. You get shot and you don't even hear the bullet sometimes even if the person who shooting you is right in front of you.

Posted

Server was actually quite good this morning when I was on for about 3 hours, when I came back on this afternoon the lag was bad. Notcied pings of most players who are normally in the 50 to 80 range including myself, would periodically jump to 200+ sometimes 800+ for a few seconds then jump back down to normal.

Thought it might have been something running on my computer, checked and nothing else was running.

    • jelly3384's application for Enlistment Form Questions Name you wish to use and Age: (Our unit uses realistic names, this does not have to be your real name) Pigeon, 16 Platform Type Epic Games Store Steam ID (Use 17 Digit SteamID 64 / PC Game Pass Account Username): Pigeon_theft   Do you have a microphone? Yes   Which game title are you applying for? Hell Let Loose   If you've selected Hell Let Loose, do you understand that this game is currently not cross platform capable and only PC players currently may apply? ( Steam or PC Game Pass) Yes   Why do you wish to join the 1st Marine Raiders? I've played BFV and milsimed in it, and it was a lot more fun when I milsimed. and I enjoy playing HLL, so I think it is going to be more fun when I join.   Did any of our current members play a part in you enlisting? If so, who? If none, how did you learn about us: I found you guys from a website called disboard when looking for HLL milsim groups to join.   This unit offers more than just a place to play games with each other, do you have any online skills you think would be useful? no   Do you have any Leadership experience that you think will be helpful? I'm not sure if it will be helpfull, but I used to be in BFV milsim groups and in my last one I got to [E-7] out of [E-1] to [O-8], so I was a NCO and I helped the officers with whatever they needed doing, weather it was assisting with training, settling disputes or helping them decide what was appropriate disciplinary action. And when we were in combat I was usually assigned to lead my own squad.   Have you ever been in a realism unit before, and if so, which unit was it? yes. I was in quite a few BFV milsim groups, although I was only in one at any given time. unfortunately, I have left the discord servers and I do not remember the names of them. if you would like, I could probably give a reference to someone who was an officer in most of the groups I was in.   By posting this Enlistment form, I acknowledge the instructions completely, declare that I am 16 years old or older, and agree that I have and will follow server and unit rules maturely and respectfully or face immediate rejection.
