Wow seriously? You guys are afraid of spiders? I love the little guys. Only ones I kill are Black widows, much like the one that killed the snake there. Spiders actually kill and eat the really nasty bugs, so I like to keep em around.

Interestingly enough, I didn't know that. However it turns out I was speaking of huntsman spiders which appear even less ferocious than daddy long legs. But my research has left me with granddaddy longlegs, daddy longlegs, and huntsman, all of which seem almost interchangeable depending on where you live.

Here is the reason I hate spiders..

I went with my girlfriend to my cottage in Northern Wisconsin for a nice weekend. It had been a couple weeks since we had been there and the place is pretty rickety and old, but its one of my favorite places in the world. Anyway, I was trying to get soem lighter fluid, and when I went to reach up and grab the can, a giant Wolf Spider was chilling right on the ledge. Needless to say, I flipped shit. I ran and got the RAID, and Sprayed it.....to no effect. Again with the Raid...again no effect. I figured third times the charm...no luck, it still was moving and looking around. (This was about 5 mins between sprays). Finally I decided that I had enough of the demon spider, and using a broom, flicked it out a window. I proceeded to chase it outside and using a Zippo and the can of raid, BBQ'ed the little bastard. It spent about 3 minutes crawling around, crackling and popping before it died. I had defeated the Demon Spider, but it has forever freaked me out since.
