I view weed the same way i view alcohol. And if SWAT kicked down my door, shot my dog, and man-handled my family over a bottle of beer in my fridge, im pretty sure i would go postal and start throwing molotov cocktails at the nearest police station. Fucking disgusting people...

Consider the source you got this story from. They're going to brutalize any police story.

Yeah I didn't really bother to read any more than a few paragraphs. Would have been a bit more interesting if they had gathered a few more videos and cases like this one.

And holy fuck someone needs to tell all the people that did the ads on that site that animations and bright colors on top of a shitty background doesn't make it look any better or interesting.

pointless raid and pointless killing of a innocent animal

The raid turned up less than a gram of marijuana and some paraphernalia; the suspect was charged with child endangerment.

less then a gram.. that is like 5$ worth of pot personal use.. fucking stupid

Almost all departments when serving a warrant use swat. you dont know what kind of dog it was or how big. on top of that what was the stance it was taking was it aggressive? ontop of that how the fuck would you know what the person has in the house and if a weapon was involve. i think a swat team on a search warrant is good cause if the suspect is packing its usually not something small.

i am sorry the dog did get shot but in terms of officer vs dog i say dog goes down everytime. there have been times when a simple low risk warrant turns into a gunfight. so what do you do when drugs are involve. think before you speak. yes the dog shouldnt have been shot but if it lunged at an officer he did the right thing. and after it was shot it was clearly hurting so they put it down to stop the pain. that is the right thing to do.

rofl I have Epilepsy :P

Law is the law and unfortunately it looks like your law enforcement system takes things a little to seriously.

Raids for pot here are pretty tamely done, they understand that you could be doing worse and are a little nice about the way they go about busting you.

No shooting Animals. That's just disgusting.

The suspect was charged with Child Endangerment???? Really?

What about the cops who fired 7 shots in the presence of a child? Because having less than a gram of pot is waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyy more dangerous than live ammunition in enclosed environment.

This is what is wrong with our country people. Pay attention. It's only going to get worse.

Well in defense of the law... and the officers, they had no idea how much of anything they would find. They just knew some was there. Like any smart person, if he did enough stuff to get a warrant like that on his ass, he probably has it hidden elsewhere.

But, as a parent, why even bother having illegal shit in your house with your kids around anyway?

I'm a single father of 2, the last thing I'll ever have in my house are drugs of any kind.

And, if you consider that most (yes, I'm stereotyping here) people heavily involved in the dealing/drug culture use dogs as a form of defense, I'm sure that would make anyone a little skittish if you enter the home and see some dogs.

Regardless, any parents who have that shit around/in the house with kids around are stupid. You're the adult - not a kid anymore. Time to grow the fuck up and get less stupid.

Also, for anyone up in arms at my post, that's just my personal opinion - don't agree? Eat a dick. I don't care. You have your opinions, I have mine. :-P :)

Understandable, but you can't sit there and say it's not a bullshit charge. They went in, expecting to bust a known drug dealer, didn't find enough to satisfy themselves, shot two dogs from what I gathered, and charged the suspect with child endangerment.

You are taking my post in the wrongest way possible.

My mother was a Police Officer for 7 years, My father was an MP for a few years while in the Marines. I have complete respect for the law. My point being, they fired shots in a house unprovoked, not once did I hear any sign of an officer being attacked. I heard a dog barking, which is what they do when their space is invaded by strangers, and then shots were fired. They acted unprovoked, and any way you look at it, they could have avoided killing the dog(s).

The problem with raiding a house, as it has already been stated, is they go in expecting the worst. Rightfully so. Officers put their lives on the line everyday to protect citizens. That however doesn't make everything they do okay. Even cops make bad decisions, this being one of them.

That is just my opinion.

I agree. I don't like seeing innocent animals get killed as much as the next guy, it sucks. I would also agree it's a bullshit charge, but on the other hand if someone is doing enough to get that kind of attention, I imagine he probably isn't exactly doing everything he can to look out for his kids safety :-P But yea, not blatantly endangering them.

That's my confused look.

87% of police departments in the United States have 25 or less police officers. Heck, my own town has a police force a little over 100 and we don't even have a SWAT team, we borrow Des Moines's. So, I'm going to say very few use SWAT when serving a warrant.

Im sorry i didnt make myself clear when a drug bust is underway most departments will borrow a swat unit IF possible. like you said kirk most departments are less then 25 people but that wont stop them from asking for help.

Agree with the police here. At the end of the day, the officer wants to come home safely, not end up in the hospital or mourge. And Cayen, not to be rude but please think before you post. The video didn't show what the dogs where doing, so I assume they were hostile. Pot is illegal. Doesn't change the fact if you disagree. If you do, don't just say "oh it should be legal so i'll smoke it anyway" that is pretty dumb. Try to change the law. Protest, but look respectable, not like a stereotypical stoner. This is coming from a former stoner who relised that stoners protesting isn't going to change anything. Looks matter 100% of the time in stuff like this. There where so many times I didn't get caught because I looked like a respectable person. And so many stoner friends who dressed like stoners, look like stoners, had stoner rooms, that went to jail for pot.

Ugh, not this Drugs and Police crap again... <_<

My two least favorite topics.

I can't even take that website seriously with a name like cannabisculture.com not to mention all the shit going on in the ads. I'm not saying it's illegitimate, I just hate how people try to shove their views in my face like that. It's also amazing how law enforcement is always under scrutiny even when they do something right. I'm not saying they were in the the right in this story, I don't know what happened so I'm not going to comment. All I'm trying to say is that I hate how no matter what they do, someone is always calling foul. It's just sick.

If you have drugs in your house and paraphernalia. That is a risk you gotta take... He clearly was a retard having contrabands in his house when he had a wife and a kid, and he must have been dealing drugs earlier or something like that to get SWAT on his door.. In the end the officers did their job.. sad that the dogs got killed but its not known wther the dog attacked him or not.. Besides this information comes from a retarded website.

Luckily this doesn't happen often in a country that has approximately: 310 232 863 citizens. and besides i do not think the officers did this on purpose.. I think we should honor the police/swat for keeping the streets clear of fucked up shit like narcotics, cannabis, weed etc..
