its full of apps and stupid shit. It does everything you would ever need and not need. Personally i use my phone to call people, and thats it. But if you feel as though you need a super phone to waste time and money on, i would go with the Droid.

If you drop a few extra bucks on the Droid for some apps you'll use it's well worth it. I don't see why people bash its apps so much either, just because the app store is full of apps doesn't mean you have to buy them all or even glance at them.

I've had a droid since they launched, love it. Built in navigation, which helps for driving, built in movie player on a really nice screen actually. Comes with a 20GB SD card, so it holds a lot.

I have a Skycaddie app, for golfing, that shows me yardages to locations on the course, lots of fun games. There a shit load of really good apps, and equally as many terrible ones.

Oh, and Adobe Flash 10.1 was released for the droid today. So I can play flash games on it too. The forums on my phone look identical to the forums on my pc, pretty slick.

5mp camera, that records relly nice movie clips... I could go on and on...

It's made with google, so it syncs to your gmail account, plus you can open the keyboard and just start typing something and as you do, it starts searching your phone book, text history, and the internet, I just find that cool.

Also, it does have it's faults. It runs slightly hot, it will run programs in the background, fixable by installing a task killer that ends idle tasks. Still a pain though.

All in all, its a great phone, considering upgrading to the Droid X

i have a droid and i love it. like stated before its great.

it does run hot but then again it wont burn you its just noticeable.

the one thing that bugs me more then anything is since the last major OS update it does run a little slower.

and if you like your Iphone look at the Evo.... thats a droid... its faster and more powerful then an iphone lol

I have the droid incredible.. LOVE IT I used to have the moto droid and like the others said it runs hot, but that is about the only downside. The droid incredible does not run hot at all. When I upgraded I originally got the droid X , but it was too big for me, and I am a big guy. It just seemed like I was holding an envelope to my head. I went with the incredible which has identical features as the x including 1ghz processor and 8mp camera so on and so on. It is just a little smaller... about the size of the iphone which for me is perfect. All the apps are great and really I think I have only paid for 1 app. You can get most of them for free.
