My Dad's Grandmother was full-blood Cherokee, and his grandfather was a short hairy Italian guy. Still not sure how that happened...

He was adopted by his dad, where he got the last name Ford. Not sure what nationality that is.

My dad's parents were in the USA during WWII. My grandfather and his family were in an internment camp in California during the war. My grandmother and her family lived in US also, her dad was too old to join.

So it's not like my ancestors fought against the US at that time. My Mom's family did fight in WWII though, for the allies.
