Marukov Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 Hey guys, just wondering if anyone messes around with FL Studio. Quote
Stab N' Grab Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 FL studio is fun, if you're just interested in messing around, but if you want to make serious music, i would suggest Reason 4. Reason is highly advanced, and lets you alter every single aspect of every sound, and comes with a whole mess of tools, and programs to help design sounds and string it together to make music. You should look into it. FL studio= elementary school Reason 4= College Quote
Goodwin 1st MRB Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 I used to use FL Studio a lot for just goofing. For actual music, I used to use Cool Edit 2.0 (now Adobe Audition). I really think it was a much better program when it wasn't Adobe actually... Recorded an entire cd's worth of material with a few band mates on it in 1 weeks recording time. Worked flawlessly. If you're talking techno stuff or whatever, I dunno. But as far as actual music & recording - you'll find supporters of pretty much any software. Quote
Brewer Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 i have also used adobe audition to edit some of my bands songs after we recorded in a studio. We werent too happy with the over all quality. and the singer was shitty as hell so we found audition helped alot haha. Quote

Plus the libraries it comes with allows you to create music from just about every genre. Quote
Marukov Posted September 9, 2010 Author Report Posted September 9, 2010 Too me all DAW's are the same, some are just more flexible than others. But FL Studio is great for starters, I've been into music production for about a year now. Quote
Stab N' Grab Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 i used FL studio for a long time, then after my friend showed me Reason, i was kicking myself for not using it earlier. You should try it out at least, its a great tool Quote
