OMG REALLY? I SPELT REMEMBRANCE WRONG IN THE TITLE? >:[......

and memorial lol. Numb hands.

One thing I can't stand, is when people update their statuses on facebook with something like "Happy remembrance day" just for the hell of it, without thought. Do they not realize that its not a time to really be "happy". Sure, you can be happy that they died for your freedom, I mean who isn't proud/happy? But Its just the way theyre using the word "Happy", as if its some jolly special holiday like Christmas or Thanksgiving and they fail to be "happy" for the right reasons.

I just felt like asking this question out of the blue, and I'm curious as to how some of you would interpret this. I know we have some members that are actually in the military too and I want to know what they think when someone says "Happy remembrance day".

You can not tell someone how to celebrate a holiday, especially one as important as Veteran's Day. Maybe they are imagining happy memories with someone they have lost, or are excited to spend the day with someone currently serving. Who are you to judge them for the wording they use? It's the same as me judging you for the heretical spelling throughout your post.

Actually this whole topic is wrong. Veterans day is in celebration of the surviving veterans. Memorial Day is the deceased for the country. Happy Veterans Day is supposed to be a Happy event. Memorial Day on the other hand is supposed to be a somber event. Not sure why ppl say happy Memorial Day. Maybe it's for the ones who have lost friends or family and they wish happy so they are not to be down for the day.

We really only have Remembrance day in Canada, I'm guessing that's similar to memorial day? But that's what I'm talking about. And Kirk I failed to find any spelling errors throughout the post. The only errors are in the title which I couldn't edit after. So really, what are you getting at?

So if you have Remembrance day on Veteran's Day, does that mean you have Veteran's day on Memorial day? Confused....

true that we have fallen soldiers that fought ww2 also

And the amazing thing about World Wars is that almost everyone in the world has had fallen soldiers in the war.
