Steam validation rejected

alright when i try to join our server or any other dod:s server it disconnects me and says steam validation rejected ive already verified the integrity of my game cache and its all good. i can get in the server after i restart steam 3 or 4 times but if i leave it does it again? anyone know how to fix this it just started happening a couple weeks ago

Had you done anything different around that time? installed any other steam games, or DLCs? Any skins, or scripts? Anti-virus?

Typically this occurs when you connect to steam through one gateway, but try to play a game after connecting through another gateway. For instance, you login to steam on a wireless router, but while connected your DNS and IP addresses change due to normal dynamic IP settings (typically, mine rolls over to a new IP every 2-4 hours). When this happens, steam can't validate your account properly, and it blocks you out.

When this happens, the only thing you can really do is wait a few minutes or log in again. As far as what steam support will do about it... probably nothing really.

Try deleting your ClientRegistry.blob file in your steam folder and restarting steam.

I check out there, and found a pretty good thread on the steam forums. Here is what I would try next. Sort of an "out there" option, but it could work for you.

2.Steam_appid.txt

-Install Source Dedicated Server, it's only a few MB and won't take that much space.

-Start it once, then close it.

-Go to your Steam directory, (C:/Program Files/Steam), and go into the Source Dedicated Server folder. (C:/Program Files/Steam/Steamapps/%USERNAME%/Source Dedicated Server).

-Make a new .Txt file and call it steam_appid.txt

-Open the file and put the ID of the game that gives the error. The ID's can be found by going to the Steam Store and search for the game that gives the error. The number at the end of the link is the ID of the game, for example Garry's Mod: http://store.steampowered.com/app/4000/, fill in 4000 in the text file.

-Save the file

-Try to start the game that gave the error and join a server.

(If this doesn't work try to create a new folder in the Source Dedicated Server folder called the name of the game that gives the error and insert the text file.)

Do not do this before our realism.

alright i got that when i formated my comp, and i solvd it by after i got the messege i waited 5min then rejoin. (did not close the game thow) did work for me!

I get this when I crash and a "ghost" of me is still on the server. I just get someone to kick the ghost so I can reconnect.
