Messed up Graphics

Every so often my graphics completely messes up, I have cardboard cut outs all over the screen,I've got a Nvidia 9800gt graphics card so should be ok, i thought it was my dod install file but it happened on team fortress yesterday as well .

Anybody got any ideas what could be causing it

Make sure your drivers are up to date. Obvious I guess.

You could narrow it down to software or hardware.

I have some suspicions that it might be overheating, make sure the airflow is good and all the dust is cleaned out.

Might be time for a new one.

This was happening after about 6 months old , i've cleaned it left the side off and updated drivers,could be software conflict ,might have to format my pc ,trying everything else first though, i certainly don't want it happening during a realism .

Maybe its fine but its now ashamed because its owner is outranked by his son in a certain realism community on DoD:S??
